A first we were NOT looking forward too!

Last night we decided to show our school spirit and go to a Notre Dame football game (where Patrick teaches). Caroline loved watching the cheerleaders, and we we enjoying the great FAll weather! At halftime I got up to walk around with Caroline, and while on our walk I heard a sound, much like someone dumping an entire glass of water out behind me. I turned Caroline around realizing that it was her throwing up just as she proceeded to throw-up down the front of me. (So now I have throw-up all down the back AND front of me....while high school-ers look on in disgust). I grabbed Patrick and home we went (oh... but not before I made him give me the shirt off his back, since mine was soaked in throw-up.... NOw that's LOVE!!) We figured she had just gotten shaken up, BUT after three more rounds of puking at home and two sets of sheets going in the washing machine, along with FOUR of my shirts) we started to get worried. The last round of puking was so thick she was gagging and we were afraid that she would choke in her sleep, SO her Dear ole Dad slept on the floor right beside her crib so he would be there in case she got sick again! Thankfully she didn't! We are happy to report she is doing much better today, and while we were not excited about this new first, we handled it well, and Patrick proved once again what a Fabulous DADDY he is! We are happy you are on the mend little C! Once again the Happy Camper!

What I have been up to

CRAFTING!!! My latest Halloween decoration
Um.....(Ok so I ordered this, did not make it) BUT....is it not the CUTEST birthday shirt EvEr!! It has been my inspiration for the ENTIRE party!
One of the many DARLING projects for the Big Day (shirt inspired....are you seeing a color and shape theme)!! Thanks Aunt Kathi and Laura for your help! Oh....and my favorite new machine, the CRICUT!!!

What Caroline's been up to

Caroline is quite the chow hound these days, I swear this girl eats as much as we do at dinner! As as long as her belly is full she is the happiest baby I know!
She is doing so well with taking assisted steps in her new PINK kicks, that we decided to get her some new brown ones for Fall (Grandma also bought her some cute black ones with bows for her "dressy days")
She is up to 4 top teeth now, and three bottom ones (almost four)
and is REALLY REALLY funny! Her expressions these days are priceless!
We love this BIG girl!

Happy Monday!

I hope your week starts off with a ray of sunshine....just like ours does every morning!

what you can do

Yesterday our church had a conseignment sale and I picked up a few cute things for Caroline! The church also had a boutique with all things unique and homeade and I wanted to share with you a little event that occurred at the boutique.........

I came upon a table with some darling onsies that were embellished with cute fabrics. I began speaking with the vendor about her fabric and designs and came to find out that she began making these recently to help create a library in the new wing of the Childrens Hospital (where Caroline was born) in memory of her little boy who passed away.

I know around the Holidays we are always looking for ways to help others and give back, this is a way to get a jump on your giving, and ensure that those kids fighting in their hospital beds have a way to take adventures and use their imaginations during the holidays.

I have attached a pic of the Christmas onsie I got for Car (I think I am going to buy some red pants and ask her if she can use that same cute fabric to make ruffles at the bottom to match!)

Here is the etsy site where you can buy the onsies: allaflutterdesigns.etsy.com

Halloween is right around the corner......every little pumpkin needs one of these!
