Fun Surprise Visit

About a week ago my brother Tommy and his lovely bride Paige called and said they were coming out for a visit! Paige had to work and Tommy joined her so they could both be here for Caroline's 6th birthday party! It was so fun visiting with them and having them here for the party! Thanks for all of your help guys! We were even able to sneak away for dinner and drinks on Friday night! Can't wait to see y'all again soon!

we couldn't let them leave without a stop at the famous Christmas Coach House!

Caroline's 6th

The girl who made me a mama turned 6 on Monday. We celebrated with our annual breakfast with Elfie (every year he returns from the North Pole just in time for Caroline's birthday). Our family's tradition to have Elfie bring the kids their chocolate advent calendars and new matching Christmas jammies.
Cooper was really excited about his doughnut

Elfie also brought two new Christmas movies: Frosty the Snowman and the Bearstein Bears Christmas
 three happy kiddos

after breakfast we got ready for school.....Caroline and I spent all weekend making snacks for her friends, multi layered jello! Caroline also brought a book to donate to the classroom in honor of her birthday.
After school we sang happy birthday, ate some ice cream cake, and Caroline opened her presents.

Then we headed to the birthday girl's dinner choice (Pita Jungle) and then it was off to ZooLights! (our 6th annual trip on Caroline's birthday). Zoolights was a super fun evening, as usual!

the kids rode the carousel ,

we watched the light and music show,
 Caroline rode a camel,

and the best part... the kids talked to Jengo the talking Giraffe and the new talking tortoise. They even sang Happy Birthday to Caroline.

Happy Birthday Sweet Caroline, we Love you so much!!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a week long celebration for us! We started with (another job I headed up as room room) the Thanksgiving cooking and food prep day on Monday. The kids gathered in the hall where they snapped green beans, cut fruit for a fruit salad, made cornbread muffins, shaked and baked some chicken, and made pumpkin pies. We also had the kids make handprint table runners, flower can centerpieces, and pinecone turkeys. It was a crazy circus, but really fun!

Then Tuesday it was time for the kids to enjoy all their labor with a Thanksgiving Feast! They looked so darling in their pilgrim and indian costumes and enjoyed the meals they prepared!

I scooted out of work at lunch to say hello and see all my hard work come to fruition!
Caroline really wanted to be a pilgrim (the teacher assigned what they ended up wearing) so we took a pic of Pilgram Caroline when she got home!

Thursday we loaded up the car (complete with Heisman) and headed to Yuma for Thanksgiving
the kids were excited to spend the day with family

 Caroline helped make some centerpieces

Coop loved hanging out with Uncle Michael
It was a BEAUTIFUL day, so we spent much of the day outside playing
