yep, we're swimming...

just a little bit of catch-up....for Valentines Day the other homeroom teacher and I went into the classroom and helped the kiddos make cute luggage to hold their valentines.

they loved them!
one of Caroline's Daisy meetings the girls were asked to plant flowers in the flower pots around school, and now every few days the girls take turns watering them before or after school.

since it was our day to bring snack, we brought a fun snack to go with our planting theme....dirt pudding with crumbled thin mints!
it was a BIG hit!
did I mention we dress up a LOT in our house.....EVERY.DAY.....

Spring gets me going on projects every year......my first was a wall in my bedroom I stenciled.....

I hung a new piece of art I purchased as well....I just LOVE it!
For our big school festival every class is asked to make a class gift for the auction. Since I am the homeroom mom for Caroline's class I painted cookie jars and then had the kids use their fingerprints for chocolate chips on the cookies....they really turned out adorable!

another project was a wall hanging for our front hall.....I has Lowe's cut me some wood planks, I stained them, nailed them together and painted them......
I can't wait to hang it!
our house is all ready for Easter!
For Cooper's birthday we got him a Giga ball....and thanks to my new nail gun and air compressor purchase....we blew that puppy up and gave it a go in the front yard! The Kids loved it!

Scarlett always keeps us on our toes!
we hit up a spring training game at the new Wrigley stadium right by our house....SO FUN!

this guy LOVES his turtle birthday shirt!
these two
my SIL Laura was so generous to give us her piano which has been in the family for generations. The kids will all eventually get lessons, maybe even Patrick and I too! It is nice to hear the kids play around on it and I look forward to hearing them practice!

and YES.....we are swimming (although by we I mean the kids....it's still WAY to cold for P and I). They have been swimming for about two weeks now, it will be April before Patrick and I jump in! The weather is hot, but the water's pretty cold!

and lastly....Caroline lost her 4th tooth on Thursday morning.....she going to be on a liquid diet soon if she keeps this up!

Weekend Party-ing

Last weekend we were invited (by one of Scarlett's friends and Patrick's co-worker) to a birthday party at McDonalds Farm (where we go to the pumpkin patch every fall). The kids got to go to the petting zoo, ride the horses, play games, sit by the bonfire, and celebrate their friend Bella. It was such a fun day!
