9 Months

Scarlett you are 9 months!!!!!
You are a super happy, easy going baby, and love your big sister! You have mastered table food and love strawberries, bananas, any type of bread, pancakes, and popsicles! You have had a tough sleeping month, sometimes getting up three times a night! You are crawling FAST, and are walking around all the furniture. You can even do it one handed, not too long before you are Off and Running!
You are wearing 9-12 month clothes, size 3 diapers and size 4 shoes (a little big)
Weight: 19.5 lbs
Height: 27.25 in
Head: 17.28 in

You seem to be getting dimples and do this shy, cute little head lean when you meet new people
Scarlett......... we love to love on you all day long!

Early Birthday

Since Grandma and Grandpa will not be here for Caroline's 4th birthday (in December) Grandma wanted to give her a special present early! Caroline loves her new pink scooter!

Little sister even went for a quick spin!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

SPA Day

Before my Mom left we had to squeeze in a Spa day! It was our Mother's Day gift, and we had a wonderful, relaxing time together! Thank's Patrick and Tommy for the awesome gift!

Water Table fun

Mom got a tough stomach bug a few days before she left, so while she rested we went outside to keep the girls quiet and enjoy the warm, WARM weather! The girls loved playing with the water table, the hose, and eating popsicles!

Mexican Getaway

Patrick and I were lucky enough to get away together, to Hawaii, three years ago when Caroline was six months old. This summer, with Scarlett being about that same age, we decided to get away again, just the two of us!
We chose Cancun for its quick flight in and out and the really affordable all inclusive rates there right now! Neither of us had ever stayed at an all-inclusive, and it did not disappoint!
We arrived really late Saturday night to a lovely lobby, and a room that far exceeded our expectations (maybe the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in)! Our room had fresh snacks, a chilled bottle of wine, and a stocked mini bar (included)...... so we made a toast and ordered room service!

our favorite secluded bar on the edge of the property, complete with bar swings!
During the day we spent most of the afternoons by the beach and this lagoon, it was like our own infinity pool! We would sleep in till about 9, wake up and head down to one of the restaurants for breakfast, hit the beach or pool, head back to our room about 4 for a nap, and a room service snack (guac normally, we were in Mexico!), than head down to dinner about 7:30 or 8:00. We had several restaurants to choose from each night, and lots of nights we would hit one for an app and than a different one for dinner, SO FUN!

they had these cool cabanas right by the beach for anyone to enjoy!
a few creatures we came across
our amazing room view
we paid a tiny bit more for a top floor view, SO worth it!

our favorite restaurant, Sushi, in this cool little cabana
our "home" for the week
One day we decided to check out some of the local ruins at Tulum, they were really neat, and the beaches there were so beautiful! We decided to do it the local way, so we took the shuttle full of locals, which was really neat, and super cheap!

one night after dinner
our BIG splurge this trip (EVERY single thing was included, except this!) was swimming with the dolphins! It was AWESOME! We not only touched them, but held their dorsal fins as they swam, and they pushed us up in a standing position with their noses and pushed us across the pool, unbelievable! It was something we hope to take the girls to do someday!

our last night at the Mexican Restaurant at our resort

This was truly an amazing and relaxing trip! We are lucky to have each other (we celebrated 7 years of marriage a bit early) and lucky to have my Mom so willing to keep the girls for an entire week! Thanks Mom! We loved every minute, but we were excited to get home to the girls! Mexico you did not disappoint, we hope to return soon!
