Cupcake Wars

This year we decided to have a little friendly competition, CUPCAKE WARS!!!! There were three categories that were judged on: creativity, taste, and design. The first team, the Turtle Rockers (Kelley, Kevin, and Patrick) won for design (Turtle cupcakes). Team two, The Blonde Bakers and the FlyBoy (Smokey, Laura, Katie, and Caroline) won for creativity (a beach scene). and the last tea, The Culinary Dropouts (Patrick, Julia, and JJ) won for taste (cookie cupcakes with chocolate bars in the middle and topped with ice cream and butterfinger pieces). It was a fun addition to the Turtle Rock food extravaganza!

White water rafting

This year we decided to leave the Rock for one day and spend the afternoon on the river. You had to be 12 to raft in the rapids, so it was a fun day out for all the adults! We had a great time and even surprised our guide with our skills! We told him we wanted as much as adventure as we could have without falling out of the boat! It was a blast that we might have to make an annual event! 

Seattle Fun

We had a blast in Seattle as always! Lots of fun time on the water, riding in the boat, tubing, skiing, hanging out with the cousins, reading, eating yummy food, and spending time together!

Seattle or Bust!

I am just now trying to get caught up on blogging.........but we have lots of reasons for being busy.......Lots and Lots of fun time with family! We just got back from our annual trip to Seattle, and once again it was a week full of great memories! Thank's Kane's for all the good stuff a week with family can bring!

We love you so much Gram, thanks so much for coming to visit, watching the girls while we were away, doing our laundry, cooking, taking the girls on fun date days, and for doling out lots of hugs!
