our week in pictures

 Sunday we hit the resort pool and then, after coming home to take naps and clean up, we headed out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant by our house. The girls did alright at dinner so we decided to take them out for dessert at a new little ice cream sandwich place. It was a neat little spot where you pick 2 cookies from a large variety of homemade cookies and then they fill it with the ice cream of your choice! 

 Monday was our good friend Jim's birthday so we met up with his entire family, at Portillo's, to eat a delicious Chicago meal and celebrate Jim! All the kiddos loved running around together, we were SO that family with the crazy kids!!!! 

 Patrick has been doing great with all three kiddos solo during the day while I have been at work, here is one of their many ventures out and about! 

 He has been filing their days with lots of activities to keep them busy and wear them out! The museum, splash pad, and outdoor water table and popsicles are big favorites! 

 Caroline went to vacation bible school for a few hours every day this week, and she LOVED it! They had a super cute around the world theme and each morning they had little passports that got stamped with a different country. They had lessons on saints from the country of the day, coordinating activities, snacks, and music time! On Friday they had a little end of the week performance. Caroline was front and center on stage and sang her little heart out, it was really cute! 

Friday night we went over to Caroline best friend Halle's house for swimming and pizza. They have a diving board and by the end of the night Caroline was able to jump off and swim to the side by herself!!! We are so proud of her and so excited about all the fun we will have in our new pool!!!

Diamondbacks Game

Before my Mom left, She and Patrick and Caroline met up with Paw-Paw at Caroline and my Mom's first ever Diamondbacks baseball game! They all had great time!

Summer Lovin

More summer day fun: painting our nails...

This little grown up girl is such a blessing to raise....when she turned two she decided she was done wearing diapers and that was it, no pull ups at night, and only maybe one or two accidents total! A few weeks ago Caroline went to the dentist and he told he she needed to stop sucking her thumb. She decided that day she would stop and since her blankie sometimes caused her to suck her thumb she would give that up too! She asked us to give her blankie to Goodwill (don't worry I saved it in her special box) so another little baby could use it! What a sweet heart she has! 

more water table fun........and GUESS WHAT.......We sign the papers for a new house tomorrow, so in a few weeks we will be swimming in OUR BACKYARD!!!! HORRAY!!!! This family needs some elbow room! 

oh and a little shout out to Gram and Patrick for holding down the fort while I was out of town all week on business, they did great of course! 

4 MONTHS

Poor little guy got four shots at his four month check up! 

He seems to have slowed down a bit in his linebacker status! Here are his 4 Month Stats:

Weight: 18lbs  (93%)

Height: 25in (50%)

Head: 17in (75%)

He is still a super happy baby, sleeps for seven hours at night (in his first leg), drools A LOT, likes his bouncy seat and swing, loves to chew on his entire hand, laughs out loud, still just gets breastmilk, pushes himself up when he is on his belly, is losing most of his baby hair, loves his big sisters, and is our favorite little Bubba! 

Shrek

Aunt Laura got us tickets to go see Shrek at the Valley Youth Theatre and because she sits on the board we got to attend a little pre-show reception too, complete with our very own name badges! The actors did a great job and we all really enjoyed the show!

Packed Full

So with Grandma here we have been filling our days full of fun activities! We have had lots of snuggle time with Coop.......

 Grandma and Scarlett have been getting in a little exercise....

 We have had a few Popsicle picnics under our big tree...

 My Mom and I (our Mother's Day presents) went to a cooking class and made and ate the yummiest food! I love these because they really take me out of my usual comfort zone and make me try, and usually LIKE new things! We made this delicious salsa for chicken and it will definitely make it in our rotation!  

 We took the girls to the aquarium one day while Daddy was fishing...

 ...and Grandma treated us to a neat lunch at the RainForest Cafe where all the animals "come to life", so FUN! 

 Before we left Caroline rode the Carousel all by herself, she was so proud!

 We have hit up LOTS of splash pads and eaten LOTS of ice cream! 

 and we even managed to get all three kiddos together for a picture, a small miracle!!! :)
