Tillman Run

Today we headed down to ASU as a family to participate in the Tillman Run. Patrick ran earlier in the morning then came home and we all went back down to run with Caroline in the kid run. It was a fun family morning!

 we made it to the finish (the finish line is in Sun Devil stadium) and Cooper was excited to get out of the stroller and practice his new walking skills!

 after the run we came home and celebrated Paw-Paw's 75th birthday! More fun birthday plans are on the dockett for next weekend! 

Summer's here!

Summer's here.....at our house at least! We have been swimming all week and eating dinner out on the patio...Life is Good! Caroline is doing great swimming independently and Coop and Scarlett love swimming with their puddle jumpers!

More Easter

Easter morning the kiddos woke up really excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for them.

 As was tradition when I was growing up, the Easter Bunny fills the baskets (our kids use the same three Me, Tommy and Jimmy used when we were kids) while the kiddos sleep and then hides the baskets for them to find in the morning. Cooper's was under the dining room table, Scarlett's was under my desk, and Caroline's was a little tougher to find in the hall closet!

 After finding their baskets and a little egg hunt around the house we decked out in our Easter finest for church and to celebrate the REAL meaning of the day. It was a really beautiful mass and even with the nursery closed all three kiddos did great.

After church we changed clothes, did a little swimming (oh yeah the pool is in full swing!) took naps, and decorated our annual rice krispie treat bunny.

 Then it was off to Aunt Laura's to celebrate the rest of the afternoon/evening.

Aunt Laura was so sweet to gift the kiddo with stuffed bunnies, FUN glasses, activity books, and their own easter egg hunt (which they hid over and over and OVER again)

 Copper did not like the feel of the grass on his knees so he either bear walked or REAL walked all night!! He took SOOOOO many steps! 

 Cooper was like a fish on a hook eating dessert, SO FUNNY!

It was a perfect holiday with happy! Happy Easter! He is Risen!

After our third attempt we finally got pictures with the Easter Bunny (thanks to a fast pass at Bass Pro Shop....who knew seeing the Easter Bunny was like going to Disney World)! Scarlett started to panic once we got to the front and said she did NOT want to see the Easter Bunny. I thought we were going to end up with a screaming Scarlett on his lap, but a little smarty bribery and all three did great! 

 We promised them they could "play" in the boats after our pictures.....Patrick might just be living here this summer, they could have stayed and boat jumped for hours!
