Sunday we hit the resort pool and then, after coming home to take naps and clean up, we headed out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant by our house. The girls did alright at dinner so we decided to take them out for dessert at a new little ice cream sandwich place. It was a neat little spot where you pick 2 cookies from a large variety of homemade cookies and then they fill it with the ice cream of your choice!
Monday was our good friend Jim's birthday so we met up with his entire family, at Portillo's, to eat a delicious Chicago meal and celebrate Jim! All the kiddos loved running around together, we were SO that family with the crazy kids!!!!
Patrick has been doing great with all three kiddos solo during the day while I have been at work, here is one of their many ventures out and about!
He has been filing their days with lots of activities to keep them busy and wear them out! The museum, splash pad, and outdoor water table and popsicles are big favorites!
Caroline went to vacation bible school for a few hours every day this week, and she LOVED it! They had a super cute around the world theme and each morning they had little passports that got stamped with a different country. They had lessons on saints from the country of the day, coordinating activities, snacks, and music time! On Friday they had a little end of the week performance. Caroline was front and center on stage and sang her little heart out, it was really cute!
Friday night we went over to Caroline best friend Halle's house for swimming and pizza. They have a diving board and by the end of the night Caroline was able to jump off and swim to the side by herself!!! We are so proud of her and so excited about all the fun we will have in our new pool!!!
So our family has been unbelievably busy with MOVING INTO OUR NEW HOUSE!!! We love it already, but might still be unpacking boxes months from now! Aside from moving we went on our very favorite vacation of the year, our annual trip to Turtle Rock, more pictures, lots more pictures to come! BUT first... today was a big day in our house: Caroline's first day of 4's Preschool, and Scarlett's first day at Caroline's big school in the 2's class! They were super excited to pack their lunches and bookbags and get ready together. Caroline was so sweet telling Scarlett all about what to expect, what fun she would have, and that she would be close by if she needed anything, I just love that these two will always have each other!
