Our first BOY party.......so we went with a sports theme of course!!! Today we celebrated Cooper turning ONE with a golf themed party! It was a beautiful day (thank goodness the crazy rain we had yesterday didn't carry over to today) and my SIL Laura was so gracious to let us use her backyard for the party (since our new house backyard is all pool)!
The sign in the front yard flanked by green and white balloons to greet our friends and family
the table centerpieces (those golf ball chocolates in the center were a HUGE hit)
the Food Table......all the food had a golf theme: BOGIE Hoagies, Chip Shots, PeanutPUTTER sandwiches, fruit PARfaits, Water Hazard, Sand Traps, The GREENS, CUPcakes
Cooper's smash cake
the PRO SHOP where the kiddos each had a "goodie bag" they could play with on the golf course. I have learned after years of throwing kid parties that the best goodie bags are the ones they can actually use during the party!
the GOLF COURSE (I found the PERFECT green carpet at COSTCO the other day meant for RV's......I cut it into eight golf holes, added flags (white poster board and dowels from Home Depot).....and WaLa.....a GOLF COURE!!!
I forgot to take a picture of the drink station at the party (we had water, beer, capri suns, and Arnold Palmers) but here is the sign that Caroline and I made for it!
Aunt Laura won the most festive attendee with her GOLF SHOES!!
Aunt Laura and the birthday BOY!
the sand trap (of course the messiest place at the party) was the biggest winner of the day!
