We had the kiddos pictures taken with live ducklings the other day. They turned out super cute and the kids really loved it!

Gma and Gpa
Grandma and Grandpa came in town last week for Grandma's spring break, so we were busy packing in the fun!
Mom and I took the girls to see Snow White and met up with a few of Caroline's friends there. The girls did so well and really liked the show.
Later that day Mom and I took the girls to the fall carnival at our church and the cotton candy was the biggest hit!
this little guy was excited to spend time with Gma and Gpa too!
the girls painted easter bunnies
Grandpa read stories
these kiddos loved time with their grandparents!
and while Daddy worked and Coop went to Nada's we went to the zoo
the girls loved the splash pad at the Zoo the very best!
the petting zoo
It was so nice to have them here! We miss you already!

Catch-Up
We have been busy lately! The weather has been really nice so one afternoon Caroline decided to lay out by the pool (on the diving board to be exact) and do a little sunbathing!
later that week we had some other sunbathers in the pool!
RIBS are a big deal in our family....my FIL makes the best ribs I've ever had and we love when he has us over to chow down on them! Cooper finally got to try his first rib, and LOVED it!
One day after picking the kids up at school I snapped a picture of our crazy crew.....that's one loud backseat!
This past weekend Caroline and I had a little girl's day together! We started off with a little lunch at Rumbi's.
Then we did a little shopping (Caroline got a new dress and new flip flops...and loved them so much she wanted to wear them right out of the store....so she did!)
Next up was IKEA for a little home decor, and it's not a girl's trip without a trip to Starbucks so we ended our afternoon with a little cookie break!
check out this boy's crazy hair! I have been REALLY hesitant to have his hair cut because I know once we cut the curls they probably won't come back. BUT......it was time....so last night we headed to the fancy barber shop in town for Cooper's first haircut.
He did SO SO good, the barber said he was a perfect client!
bye bye curls :(
almost done
I can't get over how different Coop looks, and how much OLDER! Still cute as ever though!
OH and BIG NEWS....Cooper took his first steps on March 24th!

Pinehurst
Since we were planning such an unbelievable trip (and a kidless one at that) we decided to go BIG and finish out the fun trip at Pinehurst! So Sunday we hopped in the car and drove an hour to the beautiful golf resort. (but not before making a quick pit-stop at the Carolina Inn.......a Southern Living dream....once owned by the college (UNC) now a fancy southern hotel!)
Kelley and I lounging in the lobby
this sun courtyard was so beautiful!
Now on to Pinehurst....and our own beautiful cottage (Kevin had a connection there so we got an awesome place to stay for the weekend)
the sitting room
dining room
kitchen
um.......our shower had EIGHT shower heads!!! pretty cool!
the owner of the home is an artist and made this golf club out of metal, copper, and wood
We had to make out first stop the famous Pinehurst porch for cocktails
We went out for a delicious dinner and home to more cocktails
the next day Kelley and I spent ALL DAY at the spa and the boys went golfing.....such a treat
That night we went to dinner at this cool farm to table place called the Roost
us with our host for the weekend WALLY
We sat in the chicken coop for dinner!
Tuesday morning we woke up and headed to the airport....with a quick stop for some southern bbq!
It was such a special trip with two of our favorite people! We decided every two years we are picking a city and hitting up a fun sporting event......WHERE to Next?!?!?!?
