Our favorite guy turned 40 on Tuesday (the 14th), so we celebrated in style!

I woke up an hour and a half early to make breakfast for the birthday boy.....for maybe the first time EVER (on a weekday).......hope he realizes what a sacrifice that sleep time was for me! You are worth it Patrick....we are so BLESSED and HAPPY to have you in our lives! 

Then that night we had cake, ice cream and presents.....before we headed out to celebrate without the kiddos! 

Right as we were leaving the doorbell rang........the UPS guy delivered the best gift.....THE BONE!!!

*Patrick's family has a LONGGGG history of exchanging this...it's even traveled to Vietnam and Iraq...it's a very special treat to receive it!

*when you receive it, you are responsible to hold onto it until you find the next "worthy recipient"....once you deem someone worthy you write a poem that describes why they are getting it and the poem gets attached for future receivers to read! There are lots and lots of awesome poems from over the years. 

Thank you for being such an awesome, dad, husband, DJ, comedian, Team Stover leader, and a million other things!! We Love you!

life is good.....

We have been busy with just the day to day stuff that life involves so not much to blog about lately! Caroline went on her first school field trip (to the Dairy Farm) and to her first Kindergarten friend's birthday party (it was at Build a Bear and Caroline thought it was the best birthday party EVER)!

 Caroline also started Girl Scouts (I got roped into being the leader) and the big hit of the night was the friendship circle! 

 and Friday Caroline started on her Fall Break so I took the day off and we went to the gym, out to lunch, and to paint pottery together....such a fun day with my girl! Daddy's up next on Monday!

Cooper got a weird viral infection that had him covered in spots for a week, and Scarlett got kicked out of preschool after having one too many accidents......so that added a twist on our month too!

We had a fun week with Grandpa here! Gpa and Caroline played with her dollhouse, all the kiddos played LOTS of hide and seek with Gpa, but mostly we put Grandpa to work with lots of projects around the house!

Our girl woke up to a pink balloon covered floor, her favorite breakfast (a chocolate doughnut), a happy birthday song, and a few presents (her two favorite things, a baby and dress up clothes!)

 After school we headed to the Sugar Bowl for Scarlett's birthday party!

I wanted to have a cake as well so I made cupcakes and arranged them to look like an ice cream cake!

Grandpa and Grandma gave Scarlett a Snow White dress and she put it on immediately!!! She's quite a  princess! Happy 3rd Birthday Scarlett!!!! We Love You!
