Disney Halloween

About a year ago we made plans with some of our dearest friends, the Dettmers,  to go to Disney over halloween and go to the trick or treating party! The day finally arrived and we were all super excited! They unwrapped new disney water bottles for the park and we were off!
We left early Friday morning and when we arrived the kids were excited to have new jammies waiting on their bunk bed! (we love the Portifino hotel because the hotel is close enough to walk to park and it has bunk beds for kids in their own little kid suite!)
We could not get into the park for the trick or treat party until 4 so the kids went for a quick swim in the pool, then it was time for our Halloween costumes. This year our theme is: Alice in Wonderland. I even convinced our friends to join in our theme!
First stop, a picture in front of the Great Mickey Pumpkin
We headed right to Dumbo

Tweede Dee and Tweedle Dum
The Pinnacho ride was up next
Then we hit up Snow white's scary adventures

The Teacups! That's one FULL teacup!

Colgan, the Mad Hatter

We had to go on the Alice in Wonderland ride, of course!

After the parade we headed to tomorrowland. First up was the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Then we did the Star Tours ride

everyone rode SPACE MOUNTAIN
We had a very full day, lots and lots of rides and trick or treating! We called it a night about 11:30 so we could get some rest for our next full day in the park.

Day 2 started early with Soarin over the world. We loved Soarin over California, but the world version is even better! Scarlett and Colgan got special badges to help them know how long the wait time was.

Next we headed to the Ariel ride and then to the Golden Zephyr

Cooper loved walking with the map
We got a Fast Pass for CARS and it was AWESOME! I think the dads had the most fun! HA!

Then we road the Mater Racers

Toy story was SO AWESOME! It was our first time riding this because the last time the line was too long, but new Fast Pass option was awesome!

 There goes Coop and Patrick

Lunch with adult beverages, YES PLEASE!
We also got a Fast Pass for the Grissley Run water ride.....a HUGE hit!
After getting cooled off on the water ride we headed back to Magic Kingdom for the rest of the day.
We got to MK just in time for the Mickey Magic map show.

After the show we grabbed a cold Mickey treat!
 Caroline chose a frozen lemonade
 sweet friends
 It's a small world

The we went on the roller coaster in Toon Town

Then the kids were ready to go to meet Mickey at his house

Thne we went on the Winnie the Pooh ride
We had big fun on Splash mountain thanks to another FastPass
 We caught the parade next
 One last family Disney picture
The kids each got to pick a special souvenir before we left. Cooper got a remote control Mickey train, Caroline a wallet, and Scarlett a stuffed animal.
Patrick and Cooper decided to head back to the hotel since it was getting late, but the girls and I stayed to ride a few more rides.
The girls really wanted to go to the Tiki Room so that was our first stop! Scarlett was imitating the statue on the door, so funny!
We hit the storybook boat ride next and then decided to scoot out before the fireworks started.
It was a super magical weekend making memories with our kids and friends that we will remember forever!
