This year we wanted to do a low key birthday for Caroline due to just getting back in town from Atlanta and having two little ones in the house. Our plan was to have people over for pizza and cupcakes and then bundle up and head to ZooLights. Due to the freezing cold rain that night we postponed ZooLights for another night, but we still had fun with all of our friends and their kiddos and of course loved celebrating our new little 3 YEAR OLD!

this girl had been to way too many good parties.....I was going so low key, I only had a birthday banner and tablecloths for her party set-up.....an hour before guests arrived she looked around and said "Mom where are the decorations?"........so what's a mama to do? IMPROVISE of course! We grabbed her baby book, took out some pictures, attached them to kitchen skewers, threw them in vases filled with sand and tied ribbons in the middle........VOILA, instant decorations! *oh yeah and tied up a few balloons from her morning surprise!
