28 weeks and counting
I am not a big fan of belly pictures, but I feel as though I should have a couple for the baby's album, so enjoy....there will not be many! I am 28 weeks and 2 days and feeling pretty good so far. I have had a bit of back pain and a few tough nights, but for the most part feeling good. We have been spending every weekend at the pool which has really helped! I had a doctors appt today and everything looks great. I cannot believe how soon this baby will be here!
*A funny story for record's sake....I took Caroline alone with me to my appt today since Patrick had a dentist appt at the same time. So, when it was time to leave my urine sample I had to take her into the bathroom with me. After I left my sample in the little slot in the wall, Caroline was insistant that she too pee in a cup. I tried to distract her and get out of there, but she was persistant, so I learned today that some battles are not worth fighting! The ladies outside the bathroom thought it was hysterical! Master-ed
I awoke on Saturday to my Mother's Day present that had finally arrived! I LOVE IT!!!! I just need to decide where to hang it now!
Sunday after church Caroline helped me with a little craft (I am really behind on my baby gifts for friends!)
Then Sunday afternoon we headed off to swim and celebrate Father's Day!
We Mastered many things this weekend, the first being the wind! We are so happy that even through the crazy rough winds we had on Sunday Caroline swam outside with very few wind comments! I think her strange fear is behind us, thank goodness that was short lived!

Caroline is so blessed to have such an amazing Daddy! He always makes life fun and is such an incredible role model for her. I am lucky to have a partner in life that not only shares whole heartedly in the parenting, but loves each minute he gets to spend with her! Thanks sweetie for all you do for us! We love you, Happy Father's DAY!

We Mastered many things this weekend, the first being the wind! We are so happy that even through the crazy rough winds we had on Sunday Caroline swam outside with very few wind comments! I think her strange fear is behind us, thank goodness that was short lived! She is getting more and more secure on her own in the pool and her tube continues to offer her lots of freedom! The only issue with the pool yesterday was that after we were all done swimming I took Car inside and changed her into her clothes. Than we headed back outside for some evening appetizers by the pool. After a bit of enjoying the evening the dogs came out to join us and Sugar (Paw-Paw's big yellow lab) ended up pushing Car in the pool. Patrick was the quickest one to react (the only one in his clothes, including a pocket full of phone, wallet, etc) and dived in to save her. She was a bit shaken up at first, but thanks to Daddy's quick reaction time she was laughing about it in no time. Daddy MASTERED the art of rescuing his baby girl!
Then it was on to dinner and presents!

*One last thing we have MASTERED, NO MORE PULL-UPS! We officially put away all the pull-ups for the baby, not even any at night! She has gone a week now waking up dry! We are so proud of her!

doin' dishes
We had a fun weekend and I am happy to be home after being gone all last week for work in California. Patrick and Caroline did great, it is so nice to not have to worry about them at all when I am away. We went to the pool on Saturday and then to Paw-Paw's for dinner. Today we just layed low and got ready for the week (P and C did hit the museum for a few hours so I could get organized for a crazy work week)!
After dinner at Paw-Paw's Caroline was really excited to do the dishes, I sure hope that continues!
The fun thing is this apron has been around since Patrick was a kid, we have several pictures with him wearing it too!
**I haven't blogged about this yet, but I don't want to forget about it years from now when I need a good chuckle! A few weeks ago we took a ride on Paw-Paw's boat, a gust of wind later and one blown off girl's ball cap.....We now have a little girl who is terrified of the wind. It is really funny, and annoying all at the same time! We fight a battle to go outside each day, and most times we are not on the winning side of the battle! Luckily, we were able to distract her enough Saturday to enjoy a few hours at the pool! I know "this too shall pass", I just hope it happens sooner rather than later!

Memorial Day
One of Caroline and Patrick's favorite things to do is wake up early and make "Caroline and Daddy's World Famous Smoothies"........Sunday they did just that!

After church, and a family nap :) we headed over to Paw-Paw's house to hit the pool and cookout! Caroline loves the independence her new princess tube gives her and is becoming quite daring in the pool! We had ribs, potato casserole, and I made a super good new dessert, Lemonade PIE! Such a Fun day!
