This morning while Scarlett and I were snuggling up together in the hospital bed eating our breakfast I decided to take a few snapshots of her in her diaper! She is such a doll baby!

post-it
I have always loved post-it notes, little reminders of things to do, not to forget, or little sweet nothings to leave around for those we love. I don't know that a post-it has ever carried more excitement, joy, fear, and anticapation for me than the one currently on our fridge. This little note below is indeed not little, it in fact announces (screams really) to me each time I pass it, that soon (VERY VERY SOON) we will be a family of four. The expanse of love that happened in our hearts 2 1/2 years ago is about to double. I am not sure we are fully prepared or know what we are doing, even after the second time around BUT I do know one thing: We cannot wait to meet this little person and enjoy our new life as a party of four.
Just to fill you in: due to my Dr being on call this weekend, my due date being Saturday (like in 2 days, AHHH), my blood pressure getting a bit high, and us just being READY to see what our family is going to look like, we all decided together to induce this weekend. We were hoping to start the process Fri or Sat morning, but due to a crazy busy time for babies, Fri at 10PM it is! So, this baby will be born on it's due date after all (God willing) 9-10-11! Please keep us in your prayers and we will let you all in on our BIG news when he/she arrives!
Patrick bought a new pool for Heisman the other day, so everyone headed out to test it out!

Labor Day
Well, it's Labor Day and unfortunately I am not labor-ing! We thought for sure we would have a baby by now, but apparently this baby is not done cooking! I am trying to turn over a new leaf today and enjoy my last few nights of sleep as well as a few more days just spending time with my growing girl! We are for sure ready though! I have a doctor's appt on Wed afternoon, and if no baby by then, we will decide whether or not to induce later in the week. I am feeling pretty good, mostly just tired.
This weekend we have just stayed close to home due to our upcoming arrival, AND the start of COLLEGE FOOTBALL! Go Devils! We did go do a little mall walking yesterday evening and Caroline picked up a few fun things from the disney store (a money bank and new cup) as well as a few new princess jibits for her crocs!
Last Tuesday I kept Caroline home to spend the day with her. We had a really fun playdate swimming at the Williamson's and then we hit Chick-fil-A for lunch!

Final Countdown
Um......I CANNOT believe the baby tracker says 12 more days!!! It still seems so unreal that we are about to double the kid craziness, but it could really happen any day now!
We had a fun filled weekend with family and friends (we keep making plans thinking it will be our "last time" every time!). Saturday P and Car went to the children's museum while Laura, Smokey and I went to a theatre production of Hairspray. We all headed back to our house for dinner, where Patrick was head chef! Yesterday we headed over to our dear friend's Jim and Jen's house for swimming and a cook-out. It felt so good to be in the pool, dinner was delicious, and the best part was the company! Jen is due about 2 months after I am (so fun having kiddos so close together), so we had to take a belly picture! *pardon the water spots, we had just come in from the pool!
we also got the swing we are borrowing all set up and ready (notice it currently contains baby Lucy :)

I finished the nurse's treats we are taking with us to the hospital (I am all about buttering up those folks in charge of my care, especially my PAIN MEDS!!) as well as the little treats for our hospital visitors.

The Nurse's treats say: Thanks for helping us POP out our new addition
and the Visitor's say: Thanks for POP-ING in to meet our new addition
Grandma helped me hunt down some BIG SISTER gifts for Caroline to ease the lack of gifts and attention she will be getting for a while! We hope this makes having a new baby even more exciting to her (if that is possible)! This gift will be to Caroline from the baby, while Caroline will bring COZY the bear for the baby.

Her gift includes: a BIG SISTER book, 2 videos (to watch if the hospital visiting gets boring to her, or we need to keep her occupied), and a jewelry box with some fun new jewelry inside (which she has been wanting ever since our trip to San Diego when she spied them at our friend's house).

I have also received her BIG SIS shirt in the mail which is now packed and ready in her overnight bag for whoever ends up with her during labor.
All of Caroline's scrapbooks and her baby book are complete, that girl is SO well documented! I even caught up with the new baby's baby book and have that packed for the hospital so we can get his/her hands and footprints documented. Our car seats are in, the camera is charged, and our bags are packed...We are ready!
I finished up work last friday (YAHOO)! So, this week I am just wrapping up last minute stuff and enjoying putting my feet up!
My next doctor's appointment is this Friday and we have discussed possibly stripping my membranes at that time, so maybe a baby next weekend?!?!? We will keep you posted!
Muscles!
At dinner time we have a rule that Caroline has to drink milk. She is not a huge fan (she always wants juice instead) so in order to get her to drink it we tell her all the things she can do when she is big and strong (ex: hold our new baby). Now after she drinks her cup full she shows us her muscles!
